Stephen Beard has spent more than 25 years in radio news. He has been a frequent contributor to the BBC's local, national and international services. He has also produced stories for British commercial radio, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, and German's Deutsche Welle radio network. In the United States, Beard's work has been heard on Marketplace and on Monitor Radio. His assignments have included reporting from throughout Europe as well as the Middle East, China, Australia, Malaysia and India.
An honors graduate in Law from Leeds University, Beard is a British citizen. He and his wife have two children.
